TOM HECK

FOR GOVERNOR

Nevada deserves a Strong Leader

Nevada needs the type of strong, courageous, insightful leadership that produces successful outcomes, which Tom has demonstrated throughout his lifetime of service to others and to his country. Tom will bring the same leadership to our great State of Nevada and those of us who live, work and play here.

Tom is asking for your help and your vote to be the next Governor of our Great State. Please vote on or before June 14, 2022, for Tom Heck for Governor in the Republican Primary.

Why Tom’s Running For Governor

Tom has always had a passion for service and making a difference for Nevadans. His overarching goal has always been to improve the American way of life.

Tom has always left assignments leaving things better and infinitely more responsive and efficient than when he found them.

Throughout his military service, and subsequent employment in the public sector, Tom has maintained his commitment and desire to continue to serve America and his fellow Americans whenever he has been called to do so.

Tom’s decision to run for Nevada Governor is grounded in his commitment to Nevada, America, and his fellow Americans.

Tom recognizes we are at a crossroads in our country in which we must either come together as a unified people or run the risk of being unable to deliver the American Dream to our children and grandchildren.

Tom understands the task is a daunting one, but not an insurmountable one.

“We must join ranks to ensure those who represent us in all branches of government, whether it be the Legislative, the Executive, or the Judicial Branch are purposeful and focused on building and safeguarding the American Dream.”

Tom believes that all Americans must ensure those on whom we bestow the honor to serve do so in such a way that their focus remains firmly on providing opportunities and improving outcomes for all Americans.

Currently, cronyism rules the day – especially in Nevada – where many of those in elected positions are more concerned about keeping their jobs than doing their jobs.

Public Service

Tom has taken on challenging jobs in various communities after his retirement from the Air Force, including the University of Southern California, City of Reno, NV, City of Yuba City, CA, Elk Grove, CA, and El Dorado County, CA. Filling critical leadership voids, Tom’s efforts, as a result, left these communities and their citizens better off because of his capable leadership and commitment to always doing the next right thing.

Tom was also a Town Manager in Florida. Most recently, he ran the Logistics for the Reagan Ballistic Missile Test Site in the South Pacific on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. In all these positions, Tom’s innate ability to find better ways of doing business allowed him and his team to solve a myriad of problems and implement significant improvements in those areas under his purview.

Military Service

Tom served America for over 22 years on active duty in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1998.

His assignments included Travis Air Force Base, CA, Republic of Korea, PACAF Headquarters Staff at Hickam Air Force Base, HI, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal, and many others.

By the end of his career, Tom had successfully completed and thoroughly enjoyed serving in 11 challenging and exciting assignments in those 22 Years.

Tom’s military service was exemplary, earning him six Meritorious Service Medals and even a commendation from then-President George H. W. Bush, of which he is very proud to have served under.

Education

Tom graduated from Naples High School, Naples, FL in 1972. That same summer, Tom accepted an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, CO and then was accepted into the Air Force Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1977.

Tom then accepted his Commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and, while serving his country on active duty, he continued his educational pursuits.

    • Master Business Administration, Pepperdine University
    • Masters in Public Administration, Troy State University
    • Educational Specialist Degree, George Washington U.

But that is not the end of the story…Tom also taught graduate courses at the University of Phoenix. Tom’s deep appreciation for the value of education formed the basis for his commitment to solving problems and has enhanced his innate ability to see alternatives, solutions and opportunities where most others do not.

One of Tom’s many strengths is identifying what must be done to improve the lives of those he serves. His most significant strength is his courage to actually implement those solutions which makes America safer and improves the American way of life for all its citizens.
